Description

Ultradent Porcelain Etch Refill

Ultradent Porcelain Etch Refil. Crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, and fractured dental porcelain. Studies have demonstrated that Silane. When used with Porcelain Etch and a quality bonding resin, yields the highest bond strength to porcelain when compared with other porcelain bonding products.1  Both Porcelain Etch and Silane may be used intraorally or extraorally. Most refinishers use hydrofluoric acid to chemically “etch” a porcelain or ceramic tile surface in an attempt to make their coating “stick.” Hydrofluoric acid is so strong that it actually eats away the porcelain, creating “pits” and a rough area for the new coating to hold onto.

After porcelain etching, clean residual debris with Ultra-Etch® etchant for 5 seconds and rinse thoroughly; follow with Silane application. Studies have demonstrated that Silane when used with Porcelain Etch and a quality bonding resin, yields the highest bond strength to porcelain when compared with other porcelain bonding products.
