TOKUYAMA Shield Force Plus Dentin Densensitizer is a one-component, single application, light-cured protective sealant designed for the treatment of hypersensitive dentin. TOKUYAMA® SHIELD FORCE PLUS effectively infiltrates and seals exposed dentinal tubules to inhibit the flow of fluid through the tubules which are the cause of sensitivity. At the same time the durable coat of cured TOKUYAMA® SHIELD FORCE PLUS helps prevents loss of dentin due to abrasion and/or erosion of exposed cervical dentin. Shield Force Plus™ is a one-component, light-cured desensitizer.

DESENSITIZER is indicated to prevent a variety of dentinal sensitivity challenges, such as cervical sensitivity (exposed dentin), before/after bleaching, scaling or root planning, and underneath restorations.Treatment of dentin after mechanical tooth cleaning, scaling or root planing; treatment of tooth surface before and/or after teeth whitening; and treatment of prepared dentin for fillings.  It’s also useful as a cavity disinfectant, a rewetting agent and an adhesion promoter.
